Ustaadh Tutor terms, conditions and policies
We are seeking families and students of a 'knowledge-seeking' mindset. We are not interested in families and students looking for child-minding and time-passing sessions. At Ustaadh Tutor, we prioritise quality learning over quantity. Progress in our sessions depends on the attitude of the family/student. The more zealous the family/student, the more successful they are.
Attendance and punctuality
It is the duty of parents/guardians to ensure their child is on time and ready for their sessions. Parents/students are required to inform us beforehand if their child/they will be absent due to planned activities. If a student is unwell parents are requested to inform us via our communication system.
Uniform
Boys must wear hat and thobe/jubba or kurta.
Girls must wear a scarf and full sleeved abaya/burqa or dress that reaches the ankles. Failing to comply will result in being removed from lesson.
Admission fee
Our admission fee is currently £10.00 £5.00 per child and non-refundable. This must be paid separately and can be found alongside the payment options for each class.
Fees
Fees are collected on a 4 weekly cycle and is displayed on our website. We will provide due dates in advance, in our calendar, to avoid any misunderstanding. Fees are not collected at the end of the cycle. Please bear in mind this is not a pay-as-you-go tuition centre. All fees/payments are fixed regardless of your child’s absences. We do NOT provide refunds. Any discount dates that have been missed due to absences will not be valid and the normal Ustaadh Tutor fee will need to be paid. PROMOTIONAL CODES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE SO IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO UPDATE YOURSELF WITH OUR WEBSITE.
Parents are kindly requested to pay via the details on our website. Cash payments can only be accepted if feasible depending on location and availability.
Parents/guardians will be notified well in advance before fee amounts/dates change.
Fees must be paid in advance. Students will not be admitted into class unless the fee has been paid.
Behaviour
Misbehaviour will not be tolerated within the lessons and will be dealt with accordingly. In cases of misconduct which don’t seem to resolve, the student will be removed from class to prevent others getting distracted from their learning. To rejoin, the student must fill in the reflection sheet on our website. Once approved, the Ustaadh/Ustaadha will decide whether or not the student joins the lesson.
Parents
We expect our parents to be treated with respect from our staff. In the same manner, we expect parents to respect all members of staff. Any parents that intend to speak with the class teacher, should make an appointment with us beforehand. There will be NO DISCUSSIONS with staff during learning time. Disruptions will result in suspension or expulsion.
Parents who later decide not to follow Ustaadh Tutor regulations after signing this form are in risk of their child getting suspended or excluded from Ustaadh Tutor permanently. Parents are advised to communicate with us for any information regarding their child or otherwise.
Our communication system can be found here.
